at first I thought that was an insult, but then realized Id rather hear that than the other.

Ok being from Vancouver I am biased here, however there are some pretty cool sports in the winter olympics as well. Hockey obviously I am Canadian!!!What about the downhill skiing events, or the snowboarding events, ski jumping is pretty cool too! Then the speed skating , and all the track events like Luge and such there are plenty of sports going on!! The most important that there are beer gardens everywhere!!!!!!!!LOL Hockey is pretty much the fastest sport if you have ever sat at ice level you know what I am talking about.

I really can't think of any Winter Olympic event that I can't like/appreciate. I know people bag on figure skating, but it's an amazing display of athleticism, really. It takes a whole lot of training and muscular discipline to be able to perform those jumps on ice and not look robotic. I WOULD like to see maybe a little less coverage since there are some sports that get the shaft, but it draws ratings so...

Moguls are great, luge is insane, snowboard cross is also great. All the skiing & snowboarding events are great to watch - wish the IOC would incorporate more Winter X Games events to the Olympics since they're fun to watch. Love speed skating, too...

But hey, curling & hockey starts tomorrow!

Ya the figure skating does take a lot of skill, and strength. Someone mentioned something about no real sports which i had to disagree with, but the judging part of the figure skating seems a bit shady. Oh and Hockey does start tommorow!!!!!!! Team Canada Vs. USA on Sunday when i will be in Vegas!!! probably have to put some money on that one for sure!! Go CANADA!!!!
