We are flying in from SF on Thursday Night. We are aware of the club scene in Vegas and have experienced it before. We are in our low 30's and getting a guys wekeend out plus NCaa hoops.
We heard Tao is great on Thursdays, should we buy a VIP pass for just that night? Or if we get there at 11pm, will there be too much of a line. We are not looking to get in free, just not in line much longer than a half.
Alos my friend picked Jet for Friday but I have heard some sketchy things about that?..is that true?
We are doing Bankl on Saturday..we know that will be pretty good..so the key is friday, we cant get a good read...we want to dance and have some fun..so not looking for the Los Angeles ultra loungy click crowd
On a funny not we are doing the Studio 54 just for an hour, because of the great luck we had there...just for old times sake.
2 Guys on March 18th

I do not think i will have to pay the cover too, but if i do i do. My goal is to not have to wait 2hours after a plane ride from SF, just get off, drop bags in room, and then head out.

Every time I've contacted a host to set up a situation where I bribe him to skip a line, he's just put me on the guest list.Originally posted by masterdeviance View PostSweet. So I guess you're just going to tip him in order to skip the line that night then? And then pay the cover charge in addition to the tip? So far I've only contacted hosts about bottle service, not skipping the line. Seems like a really good idea, though.
Regarding Jet: I've never been there myself, but know other people who say it's good but not the best. You'd probably have a better time at nicer places like Tryst, XS, Vanity, etc. Also, the Palms wristband for $50 is a pretty cool way to skip the line at every club at the Palms. Did it last trip on a Fri night, it's worth it.
I get in, fast, and never even see the host! It's not that I don't want to pay him, I never see him and don't even know what he looks like!
He doesn't get the tip, but I guess it does work in that I'll remember the service when I go to vegas with larger groups who want to get bottle service.

TonyB,
Jet isn't bad or sketchy from what I've experienced. It's not as big as I thought it would be and it is extremely loud. Unless you have a secluded table somewhere, you'll be yelling in people's ears all night. The music is decent and the bartenders are professional and attentive. The only thing I didn't like, was waiting in line right by the Mirage's lobby. Even though it wasn't a long wait that tried my patience, I just felt kind of silly dressed up, in a line, pretending to be cool, while old folks and families leisurely walked by, comfortable without having to conform.
I like Studio 54 too. I'm not sure I would wait in line there without a pass, but I've had some luck. I met a lady from Ireland back in July. Unfortunately it was a loud club (as all clubs usually are) so I didn't get a chance to enjoy her accent as much, lol. Anyway it's cool that you're going to be down there that weekend. The ncaa tournament really electrifies all the casinos.

Dnix is right. That's the whole idea behind this site anyways.Originally posted by dnix View Post...call the club direct and inquire.

honestly, Ive always been of the thought that what ever you can buy online you can get free or cheaper direct. The link above shows girls wristbands with open bar for $50. Im pretty sure one our female members get those for FREE.
Even the palms wristband can be bought right before you walk in the club.
The only time Id buy from any outside vendor is if a senior club employee told me to do so. Thats always my first strategy is to call the club direct and inquire.
