Absolutely loved the movie. Easily in my top 3 favorite movies of all time.

That being said, the things I'd do to The Bear Jew (Eli Roth) are illegal in most southern states. Oh, that man...

I tried so hard to like that movie, but I just couldn't. I appreciate the film making and the underlying theme of the movie, the cinematography was very interesting and well done - but in general it didn't keep me interested. I wouldn't see it again.

Ok. Fair enough. I'll report back. But it better be good.

Vincent: Remember, I just got back from Amsterdam.
Lance: Am I a nigger? Are we in Inglewood? No... You're in my home. White people who know the difference between good shit and bad shit, this is the house they come to. Now, my shit, I'll take the Pepsi challenge with that Amsterdam shit, any day of the fuckin' week.
          Vincent: That's a bold statement.
Lance: This ain't Amsterdam, Vince. This is a sellers market. Coke is fucking dead as... dead. Heroin, it's coming back in a big fucking way.
That being said, if you're asking if it can be done, you're probably not at the level where you could pull it off.

I liked Hurt Locker a lot actually. It builds the suspense and tension to a level where you're like waiting for the worst possible thing to happen.

Really? Wow, I thought it was one of the best acted, best written, and most importantly best paced movies in a long time. The characterization of the three bomb squad members was as complete as it should have been without delving too far out of their situation. I seemed more invested in the movie than I did when watching Inglourious Basterds [which, don't get me wrong, was a great movie, but could have used some tightening up in some spots since I don't think it required two & half hour to tell its story].

Maybe you saw it in the theater? Cause I found I appreciated the movie more when I saw it the second time at home than when I saw it in the movie theater.

+1 for The Hurt Locker. Bigelow ought to get the Best Director over Cameron imo.

I think best director should go to Tarentino. First of all, he's made a bunch of great movies. Second of all, Inglorious Basterds may have been all dialogue and slow at times, but what I saw was action scenes that were played out in dialogue. There was suspense and tension being built with just people talking, it was pure action with words.

Saw hurt locker. In theater. Gave it an 8.5. Liked it alot. I think that Inglourious Basterds is still the best film of 2009. What I like and disliked about the hurt locker was that in the end, it was about some guys at work. In a shitty job though.
