I have the original flip mino, not the HD mino. I have seen it for as low as $50 on amazon.com....if I ever see it again I will post it. You can regularly get it for $99 at bestbuy tho'.

There are some good alternatives coming out this year, just a matter of their pricing [I'm hoping to snag one of Panasonic's 1080p, low-light capable cams (price pending!)... Or Kodak's Zi8... Maybe Sanyo's XACTI VPC-CS1 (fully featured, but pretty steep priced for a Sanyo product)]

Yeah everyone is coming out with them now. I had the Samsung HD and I did not like it at all. Too much proprietary software involved and it was glitchy. It recorded in .MOV but even Quicktime did not operate correctly. The flip uses standard .AVI which many programs are capable of using and I haven't had any issues so far. Whatever you get try it out before your trip (Playback and editing), I am glad I tested the Samsung cause I would have had a lot of good footage and not been able to do anything with it.

Update: Met with Hard Rock yesterday and they want in. We don't know what exactly but hotel rates will likely be 25 to 30% off and at the very least comped admission to Vanity. I'll post more details on the hotel when they send em over.

Its really tricky to plan the specific venue events this far out, so bare with me on that one as we won't know the complete schedule till probably a month out. Right now its looking like we will do the official welcome party at Tao Beach the first day, Lavo in the evening (open bar at both). Something at the Hard Rock pool on Saturday and probably Vanity that night. Something at Palms. And something with Haze and Gold.

My goal is to have at least 3 or 4 open bars for everyone as the official spots and then we can just kind of schedule options the other nights where everyone has a choice and the clubs will at least comp cover and no line. I've been meeting with all the club owners this week and pretty much everyone wants to be a part of it.
