Crazy good TR, man. Love the reviews of both the nightlife and the food, man. Also, good to hear some poker thrown in there - I passed the Venetian poker room a couple times my last trip and wanted to sit down for a O/8 session, but couldn't find the time. You play just cash game or you play tournaments, too?

Good to hear that I wasn't the only person getting text messages from Tao's Cooper. I think he hijacked Pure's list. If we had one more night, X/S would've been on the list. I had some serious trouble taking pics late in the night at Tao'- to much fighting with all of the different modes for the perfect shot. Glad to see your pics turned out. Two nights in Vegas and we ended up with over 250 shots taken plus six videos from Rain. Thank god for the bigger memory cards now!

The face plant is great. My wife scored a wardrobe malfunction shot at Rain from the bottle service area. Great timing on her part.

Yeah I didn't play as much as I would like this time. Just a few longish sessions and here and there when I could at bally's. Last trip I made 1k plus at the tables but this time I had less time and the deck didn't hit me in the face. Up 200 and change which is decent. Nice, safe conservative play, even when drunk.

I forgot that june is also wsop! That's not the reason I'm going though, that's just the most convenient time for me and 14 other people.

I'm actually going in mid february as well.

Day 6

Our flight heads out at 7pm. There's no partying but enough time for some tourist stuff and poker.

City Center is the big new thing so we go there. I check out Eve and meet a host there, Jason Davis. He gives me his card and my interest is piqued. I'm still skeptical though because I have mildly negative feelings about Eva Longoria.

I must check out the Aria poker room. We go there and grab a couple seats. Within twenty minutes it's pretty obvious that half the table is clearly better than me and the other half is clearly no worse. It's noon and I sit down at a tough table. On the button, I reraise a short stack all in and another player calls out "pocket eights." Well pocket eights is exactly what I have. I lose that hand and my girlfriend and I are down 200 after little more than an hour of play. The players are smart and observant, and don't give us much action. Which is prudent, because we play tight poker.



With KK I reraise all in on a guy in the small blind a few hands later hoping that he'll read me as on tilt. I put my chips in a tiny bit more forcefully than usual just to fill out the profile of tilt. He bites and calls, turns over 66. I win a 230 pot and now I'm up 30 for the session.

My girlfriend wins a big hand soon after and she's only down 15 for the session. We hightail it out of there, glad to be up at such a tough table.

Side note, the cocktail waitresses here are ridiculously hot. They all look the same, blonde and busty with really toned arms.

The wynn buffet is the last item on our itinerary. It's a tradition of sorts. Normally I like to do the finer dining during vegas because I don't want to be weighed down by food if I'm partying. But last day I want a food coma. It's great, as usual.

Lol, I completely agree. That's the look of Vegas kicking your ass and drowning your pain in a buffet. I LOVE it.

It was during this trip that I really got the hang of nightlife in vegas. Previous trips were just dipping the toe in the water.
