So say $40 for the security lad & how much for the host??

Is there a chance if we have a word with the waitress and tell her we'll "look after her & give her a good tip, if she looks after us" we may get some drinks not added to the bill?

I would rather the girl have the money in her pocket than the bars & we may get a better deal??

Also what other bars/lounges should I check out?

Are there any in Encore / Wynn or is XS and Tryst the only ones?

im not sure how they decide when its automatically added to the bill, when I first started getting table sevice it was always aded in the bill but now it never is, but I also think it depend on who you are too. I always book thru the same people and always take care of everyone usually more than the standard 20%, so I think since they know me they dont include it cause they know im not gonna dick out on the help.

between 100-150 for the host is fine, as for talking to the waitress, YMMV, try it out it cant hurt, but you might want to throw her some cash up front so she knows youre not just talking shit, let us know how it works out

So on Nov 7 is when my group and I have table service at XS.

but on Nov 6 (Friday) is just going to be a couple of my guy friends, and we were thinking about just getting in to TAO.

My question is, what are some ways 4 guys can do to get into TAO with little or no wait at all???

Dinner at Tao before hand, each buy an entree. Ask the waiter for a stamp and then go right in. Didn't work before, but has worked the past few months.

or

Go early, pretend to be 2 groups of 2 guys, go up to the door men separately ask nicely if you could go in- just you and your buddy, tip him like 20 bucks per guy.

I <3 Drew but i personally dont like the splitting up idea... Btw Victorious did you take the time to read the main site... JC put up a really great way to meet some girls and get in a bit quicker... ill let you research that one...

with that JC idea or without ... i still think in this economy that a big bill says alot... get on the hosts guest list... contact him the day of to let him know you will be there at the time he tells you to be there... then take $25 a guy, so 100 total... put the big bill in your hand and introduce yourself when you meet him... and your good to go... also ask him if you can have some drink tickets for your group... my host did that for me when i saw him in april... your other alternative is to be there right as they open and wait in line... good luck irl

I don't like splitting up either. It's slicker just to do it all together with the host/doorman. Plus people don't usually pull off the separate right ie they stand together for like 5 min outside the place and then split up, making it obvious. That being said, I advocate it as a tactic because it can work if done right, just because it's pretty easy for anyone rolling solo to get into a club (as long as they don't come off as a social leper...)
