Interesting question. The thing is, race is both a social and a cultural construct. You can choose which cultural tradition you choose to identify with, but you can't actually pass for another race. Like, you can be white and choose to identify with hip-hop culture. Or you can be an oreo or a twinkie (for lack of a better term). But at the end of the day, you're still white or black or Asian. We've made a lot of progress toward a more color-blind society, but race does have a non-trivial effect on how you're treated and how you perceive things. In fact, a lot of the time, trying to assimilate culturally can enhance one's sense of otherness and alienation.

Vegas nightlife caters mainly toward white culture, so it makes sense that most of the people here are attuned to that wavelength. I'm white as can be, so I definitely feel more comfortable in a white cultural environment. My personal preference is to have a nice mix of races. But at the same time, if I went to a place that was predominantly or even exclusively white, I probably wouldn't bat an eye. For the minorities on this site, I suspect it'd be different. They may not have a problem with being around mostly white people, but at the same time, they'd probably prefer to not be the only non-white person at the club.

No doorman is going to ever say "Hmmm, I'm not going to let black people in tonight," but I've definitely seen groups have to wait longer...and even had doormen be dicks to black people in my group by being harder on their dresscode or claiming that they had fake IDs. Which was definitely sucky on their part.

Discrimination is more blatant though. How long do you think a group of older, or overweight people would have to wait in line? And on that note, just to play devil's advocate to the conversation, how likely would you be to go back to a club if it were a little too heavy on the heavies? And, if less likely, does that make you as bad as the doormen?
