Firearms, Buffets and Wheelchairs: Day1

This is the start of my friends and I second annual trip to Vegas. Starting last year we decided that we should do an annual trip together each year. And unanimously we all decided on Vegas. Anyways we left Chicago O’Hare Thursday at 6:20am and I have to recommend an early flight to everyone. Not only do you squeeze in an extra day but our plane was so empty that we all got our own rows of seats and were able to lay down and catch up on some rest for the weekend. We land in Vegas at 8:30am and head directly to The Hotel at Mandalay Bay where we were staying. Fortunately we could check in at this hour and I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. Two rooms, one a living room side with couches and a 40in flat screen and nicely sized wet bar and a bathroom. The other side of the room was the bedroom side with two beds another flat screen a huge bathroom with shower stall and huge tub with another flat screen in there. Very nicely decorated and makes for a great room to do some pre-gaming as well as entertaining guests.

We realize how early it is and decide that we need to start this weekend off with a bang. So with that in mind we head to the Gun Store to fire some weapons. I wish I did the automatics as someone else wrote about but seeing how novice I am with guns and how much I think I actually trust myself. I decided it would be better to shoot a 9mm glock. This was an interesting experience and a great way to blow off a little steam and to get us pumped up. Still very early in the day its time for the pool and some drinks. Mandalay has a great pool set up with a huge wave pool, bars and also an outside casino. Eventually we make it through the day and it is finally time to get ready and go out for the night.

Earlier on we thought it would be fun to head down to Freemont St. to have dinner walk around and drink and do some gambling. Well we got a little side tracked on the way there in the cab. Of course being in Vegas and with a group of guys someone brings up the strip club idea. Fortunately for us the cab driver chimes in says he knows a spot where we can have dinner as well. “Dinner and a show” someone yells out as well as “beef and booty”. He takes us to Treasures that is completely dead at about 530-6pm at night. And what we thought would be dinner was a few items laid out on table and them telling us they have a full buffet. Well we had some laughs and some questionable food and continued on to Fremont St. and thanks to Treasures they hooked us up with a complementary limo and we pulled up feeling good. We jumped in and out of casinos and gambled and continue to consume a good amount of booze. Towards the end of our time here a homeless guy kept bothering us asking “if we knew what Einstein’s theory of relativity was?” First of all I don’t know what it is but I bet he didn’t either; just a funny side note to the review. At this time were feeling very good and decide lets go back to the hotel and go to Mix, which is in the hotel. We get back and the elevators from our room won’t let us go up there. So we go down to the lobby to take elevator back up to the 64th floor and while we are in line we notice one of our friends is missing. We continue to call him and get no answer, oh well his lose we head up to Mix. As we get in we notice that our friend is already up there, how I don’t know. And he’s in the corner passing out against the wall and Mandalay Bay EMS is coming by with a wheel chair ready for a true VIP escort. One of the funniest things to see plus after reading other peoples reviews I’m glad to hear that we weren’t the only people in Vegas to need a wheelchair. We escort him back to the room and literally he rolls off the chair into the bed. I decide its way too early so my friend and I decide to head back up to Mix. We finish the night off getting completely inebriated and meeting some cool and interesting people. Good start to a great long weekend.

Yeah that # seems a little low for 2 bottles at 475 each. Dont know why.

whenever I go to tryst, my total bill comes out to $1062.00, which is 2 bottles belvie 6 redbulls and tax.....this amount doesnt include grat to waitress (which I always find interesting, they must keep track of what people tip and include it in some and exclude it in others.) so with tip drives it up to $1200 and change

Wait.. Theres a $300 deposit to get wheel chaired out of the club? If im in the state to be wheel chairs id like to see them get the deposit out of me, haha.

The trip sounds like its going good.

New Additions, Limo’s and Tryst: Day2

After a great start to a trip and a long night Thursday we are woken up to the new addition to our group. Around 8:30am our friend that flew in finally made it to our hotel room. This was a nice greeting to get but came at too early of an hour in the morning. And on the way to the front door to let him in as we are going through the living room we find our other friend passed out on the couch ASS naked. Not the best visual to get after waking up with a decent hangover. Still hurting from the night before we decide that the best thing to do at this time is to head down to the pool and spend some time relaxing and playing games at the outside casino. The day proceeds to go on and we spend most of it showing our friend around, and he wanted to catch up on some gambling. Pretty good start to his trip at the tables and ended up on the day about 400 from roulette. My luck wasn’t as good and I never turned a profit from gambling the entire trip.

Finally it is time to start getting ready for the nights festivities. Before we headed out to Vegas we made some reservations from the contact page on this site. Thank you for this, it was a big help. We spent a little bit of time doing some pre-gaming in the room and listening to some music and generally just getting pumped up for the night of bottle service we planned at Tryst. Around 9:00pm we had a limo pick us up from The Hotel and made sure we had some cocktails for the ride. The driver proceeded to try and take us on a back road over to the Wynn but we were in the mood to head down the strip and take in all the sites. Unfortunately we must have had a washed up NASCAR driver for the limo because he made some stops and accelerations that made beer spill all over one of my friends. Not the mood killer you want before going into the club. We arrive at the Wynn around 9:30pm and have some time before we have to check in for our table. Time to hit the tables again for some more gambling losses and free drinks.

We head on over to Tryst around 10:15pm and a nice line is already there. Fortunately we had table reservation and only had to wait about 5min for a host and he took us right in. Tryst has a great atmosphere and vibe to it. We had a great table right against the pond looking onto the waterfall and very close to the main dance floor. I loved how half of the club was outside, it made for a nice mix of design. The place filled up pretty quick and our night started off nicely with two bottles of Grey Goose, red bulls and some other mixers that we choose. So we partied the rest of the night away at Tryst and from what I think I remember left the club at about 4:30am and headed back to The Hotel. Night two in Vegas was a great time and not one of us needed the complementary VIP wheelchair that was used the night before.
