If you're staying at Encore, I would still go early but just politely tell them you're staying at the hotel and would like to go into their club and ask which line to use. I've been able to get in twice on Saturdays without problems. Plus they'll give you half price cover

I tried that when I stayed at the Wynn, but it was a holiday weekend and they told me that there was no guest list. I was talking to the hotel concierge, so they don't have much powers.

I been to XS twice now. One with bottle service. Arrived at 10 pm only took 5-10 mins to get in. Another time GA arrived at 10:30 pm and took about 20 mins. Any of you Socal guys ever go to Papas and Beer in Rosarito? Now that's a line!!! One time (about 7 years ago) took us over 3 hours to get in.....but so damn worth it!!!

I can't imagine waiting for 3 hours to get into any club. What made it worth it if you don't mind me asking? Not questioning it, just interested.

Well, I'm not one of the guys...but I've been to Papas & Beer a bunch of times when I was 18-21. From what I remember it was OK. Never waited in any sort of a line to get in, though. I don't remember even seeing a line to get in. It's on the beach. It's all outdoors. There's beach volleyball courts, a giant rock wall looking thing that has platforms you can climb up on and dance on. Ummmm, I don't remember much else. I think I danced up on a lifeguard tower looking thing and won a bucket of beer. VERY young crowd (lots of fights, puking people, drama). Basically, everyone from Orange County/San Diego goes there because you can drink at 18.

The most fun I've had there was in winter, it was dead, and they were showing the De La Hoya vs. Sugar Shane Mosley fight. They shut off all of the music and were brodcasting the fight over the loudspeakers. Everyone was gathered around the TV's at the bars screaming and cheering.

It's definitely NOT anything like Vegas. Haven't found a reason to go back since I turned 21...

Haven't made it to Cancun yet. Ensenada is the farthest south I've been. Cancun sounds fun, though. My friend wanted to do her bachelorette party there, but I talked her into Vegas instead. Think it was a good choice...
