How does everyone like Rashard Mendenhall this week? Gore went down and other than Portis i'm weak at RB (Larry Johnson of course was a bust but i'm a Chiefs fan I had to take him late).

Steelers playing the Lions? You could line up against Detroit's D and get at least 50 yards! Mendenhall should have a big game with the start & bulk of the carries with Parker still not 100% and probably not playing. Keep an eye on McCoy from the Eagles - McNabb might not throw that much in his first start back from injury and Westbrook could still be iffy, so if McCoy gets the start, he should take advantage of an easy Tampa Bay D [amazing how far the Bucs have fallen defensively]. Also, since you're a Chiefs fan... you should know that whoever's taking the ball for Dallas is an auto-start

I agree with Blib. I think Mendenhall is a good start this week. I also put LeSaen McCoy in as my flex position.

I have Glen Coffee also. I picked him up in the draft because i knew Gore couldnt stay healthy forever, and he had a good preseason.

I tried picking up Coffee but he was already gone. Gore will be back after their bye next week though. I have good receivers but I missed out on backs.

I also did the first 5 rounds of a live draft from my car with NOTHING to go off of, just my mind. Try doing a draft off the top of your head in traffic. My friend would call and be like "ok, since you've picked (rattles off 14 players) are gone, who do you want?"

At that point you just need to know who you have picked so far and then ask who the top 3 in each position are at the moment. I know its not the best way of doing it, but when your doing it from a phone in a car thats your best bet. The only thing that kills you there is trying to work around bye weeks.

Every other draft i've done they've had lists of players handed out to everyone. My buddy didn't even want to let me look at his when I got there (everyone had to bring their own which I wasn't told) if that gives you any hint on how much help I was getting.

Actually it's fun to do a live draft at the bar (if you don't get off work when the draft has just started). It's a bunch of drinking and football talk with the guys, what else could be better?

Yeah Royale, Mendenhall was a huge pick up for me this week. Gore will be back in two weeks, and with Portis looking good today as well i'm back on the right path.

Yeah i know what you mean. I think it would be fun to draft players with everyone in the same room. Problem is i play with old friends from high school every year and were all over the country now.

Haha. And you know what, i was worried about Keller more than most on their team because Tight Ends have torn us apart most of the year so far.
