Obviously its gonna be a massive ask for anyone to beat Mayweather, just think out of everyone Pacquiao stands the best chance even tho he's blatently the smaller man....gotta be faught at lightwelter if it happened tho.

If Mayweather beats Marquez, there's no way he faces Pacquiao in his next fight or thereafter. There's not enough money in the world for Mayweather to agree to put his undefeated record up for chance. He'd probably retire first.

Are you kidding? Mayweather's ducked Margarito, Cotto, Williams, and now Pacquiao with this Marquez fight. Plus, his ego overcomes the money - he can earn more keeping his claim as the best pound-for-pound in retirement via endorsements than any payday with Pacquiao that would end in defeat.

I agree. For someone thats P4P no.1 and ranked so highly he certainly has sidestepped some big names during his career. The only reason I think he may fight Pacquaio is because of the size difference, and knowing Mayweather he'll only accept the fight at welter to give himself the bigger advantage.

Money motivates him but surely he didn't come back just because of that. Think he missed boxing and couldn't stand the limelight Pacquaio was getting being new No.1 P4P. Marquez is his comeback fight, if he wins that and Pacquiao beats Cotto in November then I cant see how this fight can't happen. If Pacquaio calls out for him, which he will, and Mayweather goes back into retirement it'll just confirm what a tosser he really is.
