Yes, and then some. I can say I hung out with him pretty much the whole time, I was impressed, the guy can party. Some things will never be talked about . I don't want to steal his thunder so I'll post the parts of my trip he wasn't around for since I can't sleep. Sadly those parts aren't too exciting because it was fight stuff and I was totally sober until after I fought, plus he can prob tell the stories a lot better, so i'll leave the fun stuff to him.

Got to vegas thurs night and went straight to The Orleans, stayed there since the fight was there. It's a pretty chill hotel, walked around and got familiar with everything so I wouldn't be running around the next day searching. Met another fighter who was walking around and I mentioned I was alone and he said he'd hook me up with his coach for the fight if i needed help. Hung out for a while then went to my room and crashed.

Friday, the day of the weigh ins I slept in pretty late since I didn't have to worry about cutting weight. Normally I'd be cutting water weight since I usually fight at 155 but I didn't need to so I had way too much free time. Went to the pool for a bit, and it was pretty boring, so i spent the rest of the afternoon pacing my room. Met up with Nyc around 5:30 and talked to him for a bit before he headed out for the JC meet up and i went to the weigh ins.

How was your fight did you win??

When I got to the weigh ins it was a pretty wild scene. It was a decent size room full of a couple hundred people, I kinda felt like a rock star. Photographers, press, fighters, agents, a few celebs. Lol Master P and Silk the Shocker were there if any of you remember rap from the late 90's.

So they announced each of us as we weighed in, standing in your undies in a room full of people is a little strange yet cool at the same time. Here's me making faces at the photographers instead of flexing.



After we weighed in we had a stare down with our opponent. Looking for that pic still because apparently mine was pretty awesome. After that my opponent was hugging a huge bottle of water since he cut major weight and I was over at the buffet they provided for us. Shortly after I was taken to a room and did a few interviews, I made sure to give shout outs to my sponsors for the fight and also sent some love to jackcolton.com

Once I was finally free to go i left with a backpack full of free stuff and hungry again I hit the food court. After eating I got ready and headed over to V-Bar and showed up way late to the member meet up. Hung out with Nyc the rest of the night (stayed sober), figured it was better than pacing my hotel room, and headed back fairly early. Thanks to Ny and Blighty for getting me water all night.

I managed to sleep in fairly late the morning of the fight until the fight team that adopted me for the weekend called me up to go over strategy. We trained for about an hour before going to lunch and then heading back to my room. Nyc showed up about 30 min before we were due for the rules meeting, we met up with my team and made our way through the casino with a small entourage.

When we got there I walked the ring a few times, then we had a rules meeting and were banished to our dressing rooms till fight time. I spent the rest of the time until the fight sitting in a corner, and visiting the restroom a lot, I was pretty nervous. Once i sat down to get my hands taped up the nerves started to settle and the adrenaline started to take over. Here's a pic of me right before meeting with the outside ref and getting into the ring. He asked how i felt, to which i responded "fucking fantastic".

During the first round he managed to cut me near the top of my cheek and kept after it. He didn't do much damage to me besides the bad cut, I wanted to keep fighting but the doctor wouldn't allow it to go into the second round. After I got to take a trip to the ER. If you're ever injured in Vegas go to Southern Hills, they got me patched up in about an hour and the nurses were awesome. They appreciated my humor despite having a nice gash on my cheek.

After the hospital I was starving so I hit up In n Out. I was dreaming about it the weeks leading up to the fight, since my diet was pretty much plain chicken, brown rice, and veggies, it tastes even more amazing after a fight. Went back to my room, got ready and with a band aid over my cheek and a black eye headed out to meet up with ny and spent pretty much the rest of my time there drunk.
