Exactly you don't trust them and you seem to know what your talking about.
In my case I have zero experience and was just making my way around google and finding websites that looked flashy and hoping i'd find somebody honest.
But, if somebody would have told me i had to pay up front for a table I might have believed them. How do i know, i'm just a guy from out of town that is already to expecting to spend a bunch of cash.
Lucky for me i'm my mothers son and that makes me genetically predisposed to doing abnormal amounts of research before releasing money from my pockets...
Don't get me wrong I love to spend money, but nothing stresses me out more than finding out later that i could have spent less and got the same service...

Wow, you guys know about those scum bags. There is this guy that always contacts me about booking tables and trying to get deals like B1G1s and Comps so he can sell the free bottle. His way of working is very shady, so i dodge his calls now.
