They just opened in January so this could not be in one year. In addition the "article" is a transcript from a conference call so they are typing word for word what Wynn was saying so its not really an "article". I agree, the numbers dont add up. It may be projected or a 6 month figure???

damn it royale, your gonna make me crunch the numbers again. now that I know they have a seating chart, I can come up with a better figure on table service.

LOL only if you really want to ... or next time instead of going to your table at XS, ask them to show you their accounting office and you are the IRS

          Ha!

So I just re read it and I think Patrick is right...

"Just in four nights last year, in four nights did $41 million, open from 10 till 4 in the morning with a 70% profit margin."

Sounds like Wynn is just confused.

Isn't this some type of quarterly statement to the share holders though? I think they are obligated to tell the truth and not BS...

I have the seating chart + pricing list for tables throughout XS for NYE, i can probably do the calculation, but its highly unlikely that they did 41MM in 4 days.

that 10.3 MM per day.. even on NYE, that would be rediculous.

highest min charge on tables on NYE (pre-book, not day-of charges) was 7k (16 tables available at that pricing) - 112k (not including the usual ++)

Total of 69 remaining tables ranging from 1k-3k with majority of tables at 1.5k (even taking at max min charge) 207k

                    112k + 207k = 319k min charge

assume that everyone went over 100% = 638k

assume all of that was ++'d at 40% = 893k

assume capacity at somewhere around 10k people, all spending at least 200/pp (pretty optimisitic number) incl admission .. would be approximately 2.5MM

2.5MM + .893MM = 3.393MM on that night .. lets be honest, NYE is probably one of their highest grossing nights.. so even if they made 5MM on that night, that would still have to be 36MM on the other 3 nights?? thats rediculously absurd.

Since this is from a conference call I am pretty sure they just quoted Steve Wynn wrong.

i think that is probably projected.. sounds like a right quote if it is 41MM at 70% margin, which would be about 29MM in profit.. considering, that is pretty damn good, i wish i had a vehicle with that kind of reclamation!!! 12MM to make 29MM!!!
