my experience at XS Saturday July 25

I haven't posted since my trip (july 23-26), and I hate to start on a negative note, but let me tell you about my experience at XS. It was my first time to XS and I was with 6 guys for a bachelor party. We had a VIP host named Big Mark get us in past all lines and we had a table outside near the dance floor...cost $500. I thought the location was good and the club is beautiful. So everything starts off on a good note.

The place is huge, maybe even too huge. There are so many factors at play, but let me say that I had a much easier time meeting women with a table on Thursday at Tao. More specifically, at XS I am with a group of relatively attractive white guys in our early-mid thirties. We are polite guys and we like people of all colors/backgrounds. We found that XS was teaming with cute young East Asian girls. I would say that half the club was East Asian, which is much more Asian than I have ever seen at a club in Vegas. OK, fine I thought. Asian it is! So, I approach a selection of the girls at XS, as usual based on who looks good, fun, and available. My experience was, for whatever reason, the Asian girls were not nearly as interested in talking to me (and getting drunk on my bottles) as were the non-Asian attendees. In some cases there was a language barrier, in other cases who knows. This would not normally be a problem but when it seems to rule out almost half the people in the club, one can become a bit depressed about spending a few thousand bucks for table service. I give XS a thumbs down.

i barely saw any east asian people at xs to tell you the truth i didn't see a lot in vegas in general to be honest, but i didn't have my 'ethnic radar' on either. HA.

Bummer, I went to Tryst that same night and the crowd was very mixed. My friend and I had a great time and danced with all kinds of people. Sorry we missed ya.

Sounds like you haven't been to Tao/XS/Tryst often. Theres plenty every time I go. Just don't out dance the ladies, from I heard they go into the bathrooms and try to pick fights.

One thing you need to remember is, the demographic inside is a club is always based on who is staying in the casinos nearby. If there was a largely asian convention at the Wynn/Encore or Venetian/Palazzo, then that would explain why there was a largely asian crowd. Also, was it a night that Tao was closed, Tao usually attracts more of an asian crowd.

I have been to XS almost every weekend since April and must say they crowd varies every night, but is always a rockin party.

From what I am hearing, I may have hit XS on a sort of off night for me, so I shouldn't rule it out totally. (Next time, I can just see myself trying to politely find out from a Wynn concierge if the hotel is Asian that night...Lol! ) Although someone did tell me that Wynn and Encore are especially popular in general with the East Asian community.

SoCal- I am so bummed I didn't go to Tryst and I'm sorry we didn't get to say hi to you and your crew! My friend raves about Tryst but I let our VIP host talk me out of it at the last minute. I had a table at Tryst lined up that night and everything. But hey, it's something to look forward to for next time!

Uejjap- "Hard to read" is a good way to put it. Maybe I need to start a thread about how to attract Asian girls visiting Vegas! I mean, if they grew up in the US, I have no problems. But for the ones that are visiting from overseas, I am apparently clueless.

I must say XS is pretty outta control. Definitely keeps its hosts busy really friggin busy. Just keep the comunication link between ur host and agree to a CC auth to ensure a table.

I have been to XS a few times now and I agree with Golden, the crowd has been primarily Asian & South East Asian, a demographic quite similar to many of the clubs in Vancouver. It's still a great place to party but I do find Asian girls very hard to read (or perhaps they're completely disinterested..... but I refuse to believe such things!!)

My experiences with Tryst have been quite similar as well.

The GF had a bit of a run in with a group of asian girls wearing capris at XS. I guess one of them was like so "Where did you learn how to dance like a hoe.. " and I guess she shoved one of them and they fell down and ran away. I missed all this since it was in the ladies bathroom, but it would've been funny to see.

OMG! Regardless of race, they were just a group of icky haters who were envious of your girl for not only her dancing but even more likely how she looks, and so wanted to start something because they had friends around to protect them.

Well it all started because a group of those asian girls were up there dancing and the area around one of the poles was completely dead. I challenged the gf on a dare to go up there, and shes was no probs. She was up there and did her go go dance thing, and couple of dudes came by and made it rain on her. A couple of those asian girls were trying to pick up the dollar bills and the dudes were like hell no, its for her only.

LOL I was like sweet, you just earned yourself some free drinks babe.

PS. She was wearing a short backless dress and those other chicks were wearing capris lol

Extragolden --- Sorry you had a horrible experience with free-loading Asian girls that simply b/c they looked nice, took advantage of your table. I swear this is not a stereotype on Asian women however some will fit that bill. You have to remember though, some individuals (every race) will always stick to their own race. Consequently, this is probably what you ran into that night.

Ellejay --- Exactly! Haters run rampant and I'm sure in Vegas, people want to show off their money and the like, just let them and don't let them ruin your time.

I always run deep at the clubs but once I get into my drunken stupor in Vegas, I start boozing it up with every race as long as you are down with taking a shot, then you shall be my friend. It helps if you are a beautiful woman no doubt hahaha.
