Diversity is a good thing and it makes the night life more unique with all types of ethnicities in the mix ... but it was your choice of words I believe that made her respond to your original post. Similarly, if you put "so Black" ... "so White" ... people could find offense to it and wonder why that was even an issue. I'm sure most of could see where you are coming from but it was the choice of words that you used.

Mr.Vegas...I'm pretty sure I commented on your comment earlier, but if you're from the west coast of Canada, there really are places that are "so Asian" and generally speaking, Asians tend to travel in packs because, frankly speaking, it's something most Asian kids were brought up with by their parents - to hang out with "their own kind". Sad, but true. So when you're in VEGAS and see a bunch of Asian kids in a table...that's why.

If you see me in Vegas, I'll be the Asian kid with the U.N. crowd.

Hate to break it to you.. 80% of the people there are usually from Socal. So if 50% of the people from Socal going there are asian, you can do the math. I <3 partying w/ Asians..

I was told this by several people that on any given Saturday, a large percentage of the club goers in Las VEGAS are from California. I met several people from California that pretty much confirmed it.

I met one VEGAS local who had a Rxhab season pass and told me that he got it because he split it with friends who live in...guess where? California.

i'm wondering what the crowd is like for xs on LDW. what do you guys think it will be? i like diverse crowds, but the last time i was there, it was so asian. my friend said that this past weekend it was the same. no disrespect to asian people, but i like a good mix of people. i have the most fun when the crowd is diverse. thanks.

Extragolden --- Sorry you had a horrible experience with free-loading Asian girls that simply b/c they looked nice, took advantage of your table. I swear this is not a stereotype on Asian women however some will fit that bill. You have to remember though, some individuals (every race) will always stick to their own race. Consequently, this is probably what you ran into that night.

Royale --- NICE CALL by your gf! I gotta buy her a drank! I hate snobby women or cocky guys. Good comeback fo sho!!!

Ellejay --- Exactly! Haters run rampant and I'm sure in Vegas, people want to show off their money and the like, just let them and don't let them ruin your time.

I always run deep at the clubs but once I get into my drunken stupor in Vegas, I start boozing it up with every race as long as you are down with taking a shot, then you shall be my friend. It helps if you are a beautiful woman no doubt hahaha.

In my various experiences, I've had to learn to spot bottle whores, no matter what ethnic background they are. Once I sniff one out, I take care of it real quick. I figure it's my money and my friends' money as well. There's so many more great women and those bottle whores know what they're doing.

Regarding haters, I had a guy that's a friend of a friend of a friend try to act all "baller" by ordering two bottles after getting kicked out of Pure TWICE for inquiring to our porter about getting hooked up with a little "sniffy-sniffy". At first he refused to pay for the 2 bottles until my friend threatened to give him the beating of a lifetime.

Mr. Vegas, I'm just like you. I get WASTED every time I go to VEGAS. But, I'd rather hang out with a bunch of cool wang than a bunch of raging bitches anytime. (I even got two dancers bought for an hour at Rhino from this!)

Well it all started because a group of those asian girls were up there dancing and the area around one of the poles was completely dead. I challenged the gf on a dare to go up there, and shes was no probs. She was up there and did her go go dance thing, and couple of dudes came by and made it rain on her. A couple of those asian girls were trying to pick up the dollar bills and the dudes were like hell no, its for her only.

LOL I was like sweet, you just earned yourself some free drinks babe.

PS. She was wearing a short backless dress and those other chicks were wearing capris lol

Again, f*cking awesome. I saw something like that at Tryst. I think the girl was local and she was doing some crazy sh*t on the pole. She was definitely working it like a pro and a few of the girls tried to swipe the "rain". That girl took care of that real quick.

The GF had a bit of a run in with a group of asian girls wearing capris at XS. I guess one of them was like so "Where did you learn how to dance like a hoe.. " and I guess she shoved one of them and they fell down and ran away. I missed all this since it was in the ladies bathroom, but it would've been funny to see.

F*cking awesome. This sounds bad, but I would have loved to have seen that and frankly would have laughed "at" the girl!

I have been to XS a few times now and I agree with Golden, the crowd has been primarily Asian & South East Asian, a demographic quite similar to many of the clubs in Vancouver. It's still a great place to party but I do find Asian girls very hard to read (or perhaps they're completely disinterested..... but I refuse to believe such things!!)

My experiences with Tryst have been quite similar as well.

uejjap - I grew up in the lower mainland, am ethnically Asian and I wholeheartedly agree. Anyone that has ever been to Vancouver will comment on how many Asians are in Vancouver.
I think there are two big reasons Asians like Las Vegas:

- Asians generally like to gamble (go to any casino in the greater Vancouver area, there's many Asians in the casinos)

- many Asians I know (I'm Asian and grew up in the lower mainland) like to congregate in areas where there are many other Asians. I've travelled quite a bit in the past few years and aside from Asia and America, I rarely see any Asians travel to Europe (I went through Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary and I never met any other Asian person - that's four countries!) You go to NYC, California, Vancouver, Las Vegas, big cities, etc, you'll see a large contingent of Asians.

About clubs in Vancouver uejjap, go to Boss, Tunnel, Century House and yeah, you'll see tons of Asians. Go to any of the clubs on Granville or other ones downtown and you'll see a much more diverse mix.

Back to Las Vegas - I don't go searching for Asian girls. I search for fun and just plain and simply "girls".

One thing you need to remember is, the demographic inside is a club is always based on who is staying in the casinos nearby. If there was a largely asian convention at the Wynn/Encore or Venetian/Palazzo, then that would explain why there was a largely asian crowd. Also, was it a night that Tao was closed, Tao usually attracts more of an asian crowd.

I have been to XS almost every weekend since April and must say they crowd varies every night, but is always a rockin party.

I have to agree with this that I've never really seen a predominantly Asian crowd at XS.

I don't know about Tao because I've only been to the nightclub once and would never go back, but with a name like Tao, I think it would likely attract more Asians (think of those that live in Richmond, I was told by a Taiwanese that many Taiwanese/Chinese move to Richmond because it has the word "Rich..." in it?!?!?!

Sounds like you haven't been to Tao/XS/Tryst often. Theres plenty every time I go. Just don't out dance the ladies, from I heard they go into the bathrooms and try to pick fights.

I love Tryst over XS (mainly because I like the size and less "housey" music, which I've been told Victor Drai reportedly likes).

I'm sorry that the Asian girls try to pick fights. But, it's likelier to happen if they're under 25. I think it's a "loss of face" issue.

I haven't posted since my trip (july 23-26), and I hate to start on a negative note, but let me tell you about my experience at XS. It was my first time to XS and I was with 6 guys for a bachelor party. We had a VIP host named Big Mark get us in past all lines and we had a table outside near the dance floor...cost $500. I thought the location was good and the club is beautiful. So everything starts off on a good note.

The place is huge, maybe even too huge. There are so many factors at play, but let me say that I had a much easier time meeting women with a table on Thursday at Tao. More specifically, at XS I am with a group of relatively attractive white guys in our early-mid thirties. We are polite guys and we like people of all colors/backgrounds. We found that XS was teaming with cute young East Asian girls. I would say that half the club was East Asian, which is much more Asian than I have ever seen at a club in Vegas. OK, fine I thought. Asian it is! So, I approach a selection of the girls at XS, as usual based on who looks good, fun, and available. My experience was, for whatever reason, the Asian girls were not nearly as interested in talking to me (and getting drunk on my bottles) as were the non-Asian attendees. In some cases there was a language barrier, in other cases who knows. This would not normally be a problem but when it seems to rule out almost half the people in the club, one can become a bit depressed about spending a few thousand bucks for table service. I give XS a thumbs down.

A friend of mine has been to XS three time since it has opened and I've been twice (both times with him). I am Asian and he is white. For lack of a better term, he's got "yellow fever". He's a fairly good looking guy, pretty muscular (definitely could give some security a tough time if they tried to scrap him) and he told me after his third time to XS, he would never go back.

I asked him "Why?" He never mentioned to me if there were Asians (Girls are the second thing I look for, first is to have fun and get my drank on). He couldn't stand that table minimums are ridiculous and it was too packed.

As for the East Asians comment, there's a good chance that the girls you saw in XS were F.O.B. (Fresh Off the Boat), had their boyfriends there (I must be the only Asian guy who doesn't freak out if a random guy talks to his girlfriend - as long as they're respectful) or they have to be all stuck up so as not to "lose face" with their friends (which is not necessarily an Asian trait, but seems more likely with Asians).

Sorry you had a crap time at XS and actually I second your opinion. Thumbs down from me too.

Good tip Darryll. We plan on hittin' up XS on Saturday (Labor Day Weekend), any other club according to the girls in our group is an epic FAIL.

Do you think I should let the girls go in by themselves (5 girls) and the 7 guys in our group ask for bottle service? That way if the table minimum will be 2 for us and since it is Labor Day Weekend, adding another 2 is something we expected (total of 4-5 bottles).

Any suggestions on this? I was just going to use Patrick Frank from JC's website as I have already contacted him.

I mean this in the nicest way possible, but I think it's unfortunate that the girls in your group will think it's a big failure if you go anywhere but XS. I think there are clubs out there that are just as good and treat their customers better.

I think there is so much hype about XS because it's the newest club on the block and it's the biggest one.

Personally I think it's the customer service that should be key above ambience, "it" factor, etc.
