Somethings to keep in mind with this....
I indirectly got word from Prive's owner a couple of hours ago, and he said that "this is all getting taken care of and Prive isn't shutting down." They obviously have some pretty serious issues to work through, but I know him as one not to lose a fight. I once sat at dinner with him while he was texting back and forth with Floyd Mayweather because Floyd wasn't allowed in the club. By the end of dinner he was offering to fight him in the ring over it, haha. Also important to keep in mind that he and his family have VERY strong legal backgrounds, and deal with lawsuits all the time.
This all basically comes down to them having to appeal the denial of their liquor license application, and it all going from there. I would imagine the Gaming Board will need to have some success with this in order to make a point, but it isn't a stretch to think there are a number of ways they could both come out OK from this. Certainly Opium Group will throw everything they've got at this, and they've got a lot to throw.
I'm telling everyone who calls me about this to just kind of wait a bit and see how the dust settles. Besides, who can forget the Pure Management IRS debacle of February 2008!

Thanks for insider info. Losing their liquor license, though, is a killer - even if they're out of commission for a couple weeks, that's enough to drive them into obscurity.Originally posted by jackcolton View PostSomethings to keep in mind with this....

I will agree with you on the money for nothin mondays / we rock hip hop monday's.. The monday parties were "real".. people really having good times and enjoying themselves. Not sure who their resident monday dj was, they always had celebs hosting there and JD was their guest dj half the time it seems.Originally posted by Jkay View PostPrive is/was my favourite place in Vegas. The music in there on a Monday night cannot be topped, just immense.
Who used to be the DJ there on Mondays?

Did you guys hear anything about that other place in PH called Tatoo? If Prive does shutdown, maybe that will turn into their major club?
