nlhe and plo cash games, i played 4 nlhe events, 2 plo events and 1 nlhe/plo mix eventOriginally posted by tao_experience View PostSo what's your primary game? HE? Did you play any of the other events, like O/8, Razz or HORSE? Did you play only in the NLHE events, or did you get some limit HE, too?
not a fan of lhe, pretty sure i'd rather watch paint dry than play that game. I play O8 from time to time and bunch of stuff like stud, 2-7 single/double/triple draw, badugi, etc. at home games for fun.

you can make a living off of 4/8 limit? talk about grinding it out. considering max hourly pot rake, minus tips and expenses (flight, food, ect.) I would think you would need to play at least 25/50 nl, to make a living at it. Im kind of curious now too.
edit: never mind. you posted the answerBlackout Artist

no clue what's possible as far as playing live exclusively, as i've said me and all my friends who do this for a living mainly play online. as far as online goes, depending on how good you are, how many tables you play and how sick of a grinder you are people make a living playing as low as 0.5/1Originally posted by dnix View Postyou can make a living off of 4/8 limit? talk about grinding it out. considering max hourly pot rake, minus tips and expenses (flight, food, ect.) I've made between $300 and $700 a night playing $4/8 before, did it pretty consecutively for about 2 months playing about 2 times a week then going out drinking/partying the other 5 times. My hot 2 months rush ended and there was nothing I could do to win so I haven't really played since. Just bs around here and there but not like I used to.Originally posted by dnix View Postyou can make a living off of 4/8 limit? talk about grinding it out. considering max hourly pot rake, minus tips and expenses (flight, food, ect.) A buddy of mine was killing it on $3/6 for about 2 years. He was making a few hundred a night almost every night but then he hit a few cold months and he ended up having to get a job recently. But he's starting to do pretty good again.no clue what's possible as far as playing live exclusively, as i've said me and all my friends who do this for a living mainly play online. as far as online goes, depending on how good you are, how many tables you play and how sick of a grinder you are people make a living playing as low as 0.5/1

You'd be surprised. With rakes from affiliates and all, and a win rate of 2bb/hr or so, you could probably make out. Win an MTT here or there and you're golden.Originally posted by dnix View Postyou can make a living off of 4/8 limit? talk about grinding it out. considering max hourly pot rake, minus tips and expenses (flight, food, ect.) Make the Final table in any event... Sport the AOD shirt... and the full tilt hat if they are paying well... and Throw an AOD party... Nassau threw a good size one for for 6k ... we will expect yours to be twice as big... at the least... welcome to the board woot

What do they get paid? Full Tilt must throw out some serious cash, just about every person on tv has one of those hats on.Originally posted by chillin@thebellag View Postpretty sure I wouldn't be caught dead wearing any "poker attire" in my regular life
and you do realize that when you see people wearing those fulltilt hats or logos or whatever it's because they're being paid to do so right? it's not exactly about being fashion forward.

I got a couple friends that qualified for the WSOP through online sites - they've said that you're basically given swag to wear as a result of winning seats into the main event.Originally posted by rock28 View PostWhat do they get paid? there are a bunch of different offers and deals made, on the bottom level you can get $500-$1000 to wear a patch as a one time thing when getting deep in a tournament that will get some tv time. On the stratosphere level are people like Chris Ferguson and Howard Lederer who own Fulltilt and thus wear the hats and logos to advertise their own company. In between there are a bunch of different deal possibilities and cash amountsOriginally posted by rock28 View PostWhat do they get paid? yea, past two years I got my seat on stars and opted to wear their gear in exchange for $1k.Originally posted by tao_experience View PostI got a couple friends that qualified for the WSOP through online sites - they've said that you're basically given swag to wear as a result of winning seats into the main event.Chillin's #1 fan

I love badugi, just takes some time playing to get a strategy. Ideas of the best casino in LV for badugi? I do pretty well online, but I'm a bit hesitant to do badugi live, but I'd like to view it.Originally posted by tao_experience View Postlol, badugi - it's like an alcoholic's Steel Reserve - anything to get gambling going.
