ya but isn't it chilly over there around that time for xmas? i've been to the 4 seasons in vegas..it's really nice...if you're over 60 and want to pretend you're not actually in vegas.

I've stayed at Four Seasons in Whistler a few times, and the Fairmont in Seattle more than a few times, and I can honestly stay that if the one in LV manages to pull that experience into Vegas, I'll for sure be a repeat customer.

I like being able to escape from the glitz and glamour, and honestly that level of pampering is impossible to come by in a place like the Wynn, Bellagio, Venetian, etc, because even though they are nice, and luxury, the personal service isn't there just due to sheer volume.

I've said before, I'd never stay at the Las Vegas Four Seasons for a guys trip, or a party trip, nor would I stay at any Fairmont, Ritz, Four Seasons, etc, for that purpose, but for the kind of trip I talked about there, it really can't be beat.

And 60's in the desert is actually plenty to lay by the pool if it's not windy, because the sun is still really intense.

ID, CC, and cash are most important. Everything else you can buy if needed. Some clothes, 3 pairs of shoes, and flippy floppys (incase I get on a boat). I normally stock up on many types of medicines. You are going to have to fight something off while you are there.

Don't forget a lamenated holder to keep a spare room key and a piece of paper with your hotel and room number on it. Just in case someone needs to get you back safely.

I danced and sang on Cleopatra boat thing at Caesars Place until I saw some hotel staff come running.. it's closed during the daytime which is dumb.

Guess I'm atypical for a guy - I pack about five different shoes (couple walk around, three different styles of going-out shoes), a mini-closet of shirts, jeans, slacks, button-ups, shorts, three different bottles of cologne, a couple pairs of shades, aside from toiletries, under & sleepwear... the essentials. Try to fit it in two big bags... I have to be prepared to dress per my mood that day, come on!

Oh, and for keeping yourself up? Try that 5 Hour Energy stuff - it worked for me a couple of times. Could be just a placebo effect, but eh, it worked nonetheless. Going to Vegas it up with some vodka for some pregame shots before going out next month.

I'm atypical in the opposite sense. For any given trip, I will pack exactly what I need...I usually match everything up to wear day by day (hate overpacking). For a typical 3 day trip to Vegas, 2 polo's/2 shorts/2 swimsuits for daytime, 2 shirts (usually 1 button up and 1 graphic) and 2 jeans for clubs. 1 pair of sandals, white shoes and black leathers. Obviously enough boxers/socks and the essential toiletries. Will always take ONLY a carry-on (even for my 8 day trip to Ireland in May only took a carry-on) and occassionaly a backpack to throw my i-pod, magazines, Bose headphones (a must if you travel a lot).

On the last day when I'm going home, I'll just throw on one of the polo's and jeans or shorts.

I always get the "what if you are delayed an need to stay an extra night?"...well, then I'm fucked and go comando.
