Tho, one day I was laying next to a rowdy bunch from New Jersey and decided to cover myself. We were always asked to show our room keys upon entry into the pool area. I always bring a little extra booze and snacks to add a lil something to my overpriced drinks. The drinks are yum, but the pool food not so much. DJ on weekends, but not weekdays. What's amazing is that the Encore Euro pool is the same place as XS Nightswim. We partied til 5am, then I was back again at 9am and it was spotless and peaceful.
Same place as XS Night Swim on a weekend??? That means you were in the outside area of XS, which makes no sense. XS nightswim is the pool area connected to the main area of the club. You sure you don't mean a different pool? the one on the other side?

I see this now and then. I'm amazed to hear it from people who don't mind blowing close to four-figures in a club/night.

I'm in my mid 20's and don't make that much money. To me, I'd rather spend $40/night to share a room at the Quad or the Flamingo with a buddy than spend $200-$300/night to stay at the Wynn. Every dollar I don't spend on a hotel room (which I'm never in anyway) is another dollar I can spend elsewhere... Be that good food, gambling, or at the clubs. Or, for that matter, saving for a future trip.

Some day I'm sure the cost analysis will shift and I'll prefer more upscale hotels, but for now, it just doesn't make sense.

The Encore Euro pool is the same pool on the backside of XS. They are one in the same. I asked our host the next morning if I was mistaken because they look identical. He confirmed that they have a mega clean up crew who whips it into shape for the next morning.

Do you usually stay, gamble and go out to the same clubs when you're out there? It sounds like you to go Vegas fairly often based on your posts, so if you'd just stick to the same hotel each time I'm sure you could probably get comped rooms.

I don't even gamble a ton, but I do most of my gambling and dining at MGM-owned properties and I haven't paid for a room in a few years now and usually visit two or three times a year. MGM will even hook me up with a bunch of dining credit and freeplay money each time I'm out there.

Started staying at Total Rewards casinos... But I don't gamble enough to get comps I'll usually buy in for at most $300 over the course of a trip. Maybe Total Rewards aren't the places to gamble though.

I mostly just like to party and play really low-limit blackjack.

Even if you don't even gamble though you could stay at an MGM owned place and go to clubs in MGM owned places like 1OAK and Hakkasan and Haze and when you get tables just charge them to your room. Then, just have your MLife card linked to your room and you'll get a ton of tier credits when you check out and pay and I'm sure you can get some comped rooms on your next trip. I'm sure they care more about gambling, but if you're spending a ton at their resorts they'll still want you back.

Then, after you're getting the comp rooms you can tell your friends that since you got the rooms for free that they need to use your MLife card when they gamble, which will get you more comps.

As Chris noted, if you share your MLife card and the casino finds out, the casino won't respond well.

In my experience MLife gives very little credit (relative to gambling credit) for spending in the clubs or otherwise on the property. I was very disappointed in the limited credit I received.

Even if you don't you get 25 tier credits for every dollar you charge to your room, so spending $3,000 on bottle service over the course of a trip would put you at the gold Mlife level from just one trip. Obviously the level itself doesn't mean much when it comes to comps, and it's based on a ton of different factors, but there are people spending way less than that who still get free rooms from MGM on every trip.

What you're referring to is express comps though and yeah, those are based on gambling, but if you're continually doing bottle service like he mentioned that he does and you're charging it to your room with your MLife card linked to it you'd be getting offers for free rooms for your next visit.

Fair, but that would require me to stay at MGM to start with
